I am using cannon ip3300, and there is a button to turn the printer off and on.
Is it ok that I just leave the printer “on” all the time? or do I only turn it on when I need to print? What about when the computer is shut? Thanks.

Many times when turning off the computer (or hibernating) the printer will also turn off. If it’s connected via USB give this a try. If it doesn’t turn off, then it’s whatever you prefer; the printer doesn’t use very much electricity just sitting there because it’s an ink jet printer.

Yes, its ohkay to leave your printer on. Leaving it on for long periods of time shouldn’t mess it up.
