Particle board is porous & easy to stain, so how about giving it a coat of paint? The paint will seal the board from future stains & give it some color…

It’s unlikely to come out completely but you could try loosening the paint with some solvent based cleaner like Prochem spotter and then leaving a white terry towel folded several times with a flat weight on top of it to pull the stain out. Make sure to blot it and not rub it or you will spread the stain.
