You cant use the wireless function without a wireless router. Most wireless printers also have a USB connection, you could use that until you get a wireless router.

As long as the computer has a wireless card, then you can use the wireless printer, using the Ad-Hoc mode. The only problem with using Ad-Hoc Mode is that every time you restart/shutdown the computer. you have to manually connect each time.


It in the best interest to purchase a wireless G router.
