i believe signatures are however you choose your name to be written.

heck, most of the time, signatures arent even words. just lines.

No, your signature can be anything, even a “mark”.

Legally it is not a requirement.

With printing, it is customary to get a thumb print with it. Printing looks alike, one person to the other.

I have a long name thats a pain to write in cursive, but i almost feel its more secure to scribble it out. Even if you just make a long line of scribble like I do it’s gotta be harder for someone to forge that then if I just print it out!

There is no legal standard for a signature. In fact it is fully legal for an illiterate person in the US to make any signifying mark, such as an “X”. That said, a stylized signature can be an important method of authenticating a signature as genuine. Block writing is (typically) easier to reproduce.

Still, there is no requirement for how a signature is to be written – neither stylistically, nor consistently.

A signature is something personal and you can write it however you want. As long as its the same every time ;D

not at all – to say an artist has requirements would be counter intuitive to the concept of the arts. cursive is boring anyway…
