But with digital photos and prints becoming the mainstream, there is little difference any more.
A traditional photographic print is created chemically, with the light shined through a negative on photo sensitive paper. Most photos now are printed on large printers. You can even print them yourself if you get a nice printer.
Posters can be printed out on printers OR they can be printed at a printing press. Large machines similar to what magazines and books are printed on; if the print quantity is large enough the price goes down.
Price should be different as well: photographic print is the most expensive, then printout, then printing press. Allposters is just going to print it out from a large printer because they don’t do big press runs. There is no guarantee on quality from either.

Photographic print is produced by exposing the paper to light. So the image is created on a chemical surface using chemical compounds. This is called white light printing and the picture quality is very high. you can’t see a dot in Photographic print in naked eye.
Poster print is comparatively cheaper high frequent production method which use ink for printing. When you looking at a poster print very closely, you can see like a meshy pattern, which called screen, means the image quality of the print is comparatively less than the Photo Print.
