I purchased a copy of Truman Capote’s “In Cold Blood” today because I saw that it was stated to be a “FIRST PRINTING” and is dated 1965. I’m wondering how I determine whether it is a first edition, or if there is a difference between the two. And how am I supposed to know how much it is worth if I would like to resell it?

first print is when a book is first published, and first edition is when a book is first edited. there isnt much difference. its about the same thing.

On the copyright page where it states it’s a First Edition.
There should be a line of
“sequence numbers” 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10.
If the “1″ is missing, then it’s a “later” printing.
