Predicament created by Bob: why do i have to shut down my computer every time i try to print?
everytime i try to print with my lexmark 3600-4600 I have to shut down the computer because it “cannot communicate with the printer”. It is really annoying to have to shut down the computer 3 or 4 times a day, just so i can print a page. Please help!

That would be caused by the wrong drivers. Go to their website, download, and install the drivers directly from them. My guess is you are running Windows 7 64 bit and used the install disk which only provides the 32 bit drivers. Either way, the drivers are the problem and updating them should resolve it.
