Problem from kittyblah93: My lexmark printer is taking a while to install, is that normal?
I’m trying to install a Lexmark printer right now and I’ve finished the installation process, but right now it’s saying “Please wait…..preparing your printer” and it’s been doing that for about an hour. Is that normal or should I try reinstalling it?

No, that’s not normal. It should only take a few minutes. Try closing or minimizing any open windows first to see if maybe there’s a button/dialog box that needs a button pressed or something that you’re not seeing that will allow the continuation of the install. Otherwise try restarting your computer first to see if it is all set and ready to go and just needed a jump start. If that all fails, then I’d say try reinstalling the printer again.

try reinstalling it. you might also want to check your hard drive and back it up. It may be failing soon.
