Query caused by lol e: Why won’t my HP Photosmart 2610 recognize my color cartridge?
I bought this color cartridge that said it was compatible with this printer, it worked for about a week and a half, and all of a sudden I got this warning: “Incorrect Cartridge: Tri-color print cartridge inserted now is not intended for use in this printer.” Turning off and unplugging the printer used to fix this problem for a few days and then it would come back. But now, it won’t work at all. Nothing I do works to fix this.
Am I just screwed?

This sounds like a “chip” issue, which I think means you are screwed at this point. I’d buy a replacement. Here is a link to the online store where I get my HP ink:
